Materials & finishes
Choose the elements of your rigid box: a sturdy board, wrapping paper, finishes and an optional insert. Here's what you can choose, what each option looks and feels like, and what it's best for.

How it's made
A rigid box is a sturdy greyboard shell wrapped in printed or coloured paper, then finished with lamination and details like foil or embossing. An insert inside holds your product. Choosing the right option at each layer is what gives the box its look, feel and strength.
Layer 1
Rigid boxes are made from thick, dense greyboard (also called chipboard) that doesn't bend or fold like normal cartons. Our standard board is 1200 GSM greyboard, which suits most gift, retail and presentation boxes. Larger or heavier products can use a thicker board for extra strength — tell us your product weight and size and we'll recommend the right thickness.
